Desperate Criminals

It occurs to me that though the police are willing to allow either side of the recall initiative to prosecute the sign vandals, aren't the people who poached the signs in the first place guilty of trespassing?

  • Hey J.L. I can't believe that I agree with you on an issue. This sign vandalism has gone way too far. I don't care who started it. I just wish somebody would get caught. Maybe this monkey business would stop if someone was prosecuted. This really sets a bad precedent for future elections.

  • You're right there. If those who want power in this town can't avoid the temptation to break the law, no matter how minor the infraction, then what other, more serious infractions will be allowed later?

  • Hey J.L. Maybe everyone should pitch in for a post election sign clean up. Also I am willing to bet one person who is not anon $100 dollars that the recall will fail horribly on Tues. RMer's why am I so confident? What do I know that you don't. It will be the easiest money I have made in a while.

  • It would be a Petty theft for the signs, but not a trespass. Trespass, you have to be asked to leave and refuse, or for open land there are No Trespass sign posting requirements. However, its mute point now anyway.
