GPAC Meeting
The General Plan Advisory Committee meeting is planned for the 14th of March at 6:00 p.m. at city hall. Some items that will be discussed will be the Bear Creek airport property, Gary Thomasian has requested a review of the city council’s decision to rezone from ER-2 to commercial.

I know it's history now but just noticed this innacurate posty. You're giving the impression that your RM hero Thomasian requested a review of the city council decision to change ER-2 zoning to commercial on the Bear Creek airport property. Wrong.
The comittee did consider a request to change zoning at the airport site at the request of the developer but decided to recommend to planning and council that it be left zoned open space.
Gary Thomasian did request a review of the site at Nutmeg & Washington that had been rezoned. Since that had already been done by planning and council and is now subject to legal decisions as well as new ownership, any recommendations were tabled until more info is availabe. By the way, this is the same sort of 3rd party request that you were so critical of Van Haaster for in another blog. I guess when RM does it it's OK but if somebody else does it, it's self serving and not good.
Perhaps you should let Barbara Nugent do your GPAC updates for ya Joe. She is confused about a lot of things but she at least can transcribe directly from the GPAC agenda without screwing it up too bad.
