When I first moved here I loved that "Mayberry feel" of Murrieta, I now think it's the people that make the difference which makes this a desirable place to live.
Yes. The people, and an enduring "country town" legacy which seems to be embedded in the soil. And the politics... call me crazy, but the fact that this town is alive with political passions is wonderful. I've seen towns where nobody has the foggiest notion of what's going on at city hall, and care even less. Murrieta is just the opposite. I love it.
I would like to say Thank You to the developer, van Daele homes, I believe, who kindly funded the great fireworks show for the city's Birthday Bash at the Sports Park this past Saturday during the holiday weekend.
Their generosity is warmly received by the many of us that gathered in a spirit of community, grateful to our City and the efforts of the volunteers and corporate sponsors willing to give of their time and their monies. Our families appreciate that we live in this fine city.
I have created this blog as a place for all Murrietans to post facts and opinions concerning the city and the people of Murrieta, California. Please keep your comments well thought out and civil. The opinions expressed in this blog come from independent sources throughout the community and do not necessarily reflect the opinions of the management.

Murrieta: You were my kind of town before you were a city, and you're still my kind of town.
