I saw some city code enforcement guys moseying around old town yesterday. Has anyone been served with a blight notice yet? If so, it would be good to hear about it.
Is a neighbor with a 27ft boat in their driveway a code violation? I think it is, but where do you report it?
It seems that most issues would be resolved if people would think of how their storage habits affect their neighbors first, before considering their own covenience.
If you contact Murrieta Code enforcement, they will be able to answer your question. Unfortunately, the last time I called them they were backed up to the tune of 2 months. Your neighbor could have formerly stored his boat in the lot that VanHaaster closed down so he could build his daughter's daycare center. I had a boat there and it was quite affordable. My boat is now stored at the Lake Perris marina.
I have created this blog as a place for all Murrietans to post facts and opinions concerning the city and the people of Murrieta, California. Please keep your comments well thought out and civil. The opinions expressed in this blog come from independent sources throughout the community and do not necessarily reflect the opinions of the management.
